Ewals Cargo Care now employs approximately 2,150 employees from 31 locations in 14 countries throughout Europe. The head office is located in Tegelen (near Venlo). About the Global Forwarding branch in Schiphol
The Ewals Cargo Care branch at Schiphol offers its customers continental and intercontinental logistics solutions. This concerns road, sea, train and air freight.
To this end, we work together with a few exclusively selected partners. Together, deliveries of shipments to, and delivery of shipments in, all countries in the world are guaranteed.
We mainly focus on what is called “Supply Chain Solutions” in the jargon: total solutions, door-to-door, developed in consultation with customers.

In this role as Sales Manager Global forwarding you’re part of our Global Forwarding team in Schiphol.
Whilst bigger organisation are dedicated to the systematic approach we excel in serving global customers with our customized approach. We develop supply chain solutions mostly related to small and medium-sized enterprises. We support them with the strong competence we have in our teams.
In addition, if you sign your first employment contract before September 1, 2024, you will receive a starting premium of € 1,000.00 gross
How will you make an impact?
In this role you excel in sales. We seek someone who can identify and develop new business and setup a new customer portfolio. You will have a direct impact on our global forwarding organisations revenue goals. You’re part of a small team of 11 employees reporting into our site manager global forwarding and you will have a dotted line into our larger sales organisation within Ewals Cargo Care.
The team has direct communication is very informal with a personal touch and supports eachother in broader team goals.

What will you do?
Pro-actively recruit new prospects and customers according to Ewals' commercial strategy; You will have full responsibility of business development activities of current (customer) relations and new customers, such as SLAs, budget, implementation of new business, performance management; Responsibility for the process and follow-up of tenders; State-of-the-art global forwarding (sea, rail and air freight) market knowledge to develop new business opportunities; Sharing customer information and other insights and agreements with Ewals colleagues, so that the our supply chain can work with the correct information; Initiate, develop and prepare a sales plan for global forwarding of Ewals; with the freedom to explore completer new customer portfolios Close cooperation with the operational team in Schiphol and the sales department of Ewals at the head office in Tegelen, Venlo
How will you get there?
You have a completed bachelor(HBO) education in the direction of Transport, Logistics, Commerce or Business Administration or your career shows experience in expanding sales or business development. You have commercial work experience in global forwarding. You master the English language very well; Dutch is preferred. You have knowledge of Word and Excel. You can work independent in business development and set up a network in global forwarding. You recognize opportunities that benefit the organization and see it as a challenge to convert them into real successes. You easily connect with others. You are customer-oriented and you are well able to translate customer problems into solid supply chain solutions.
