CAVALIER LOGISTICS BONAIRE is a dynamic, expanding international Forwarder/ Customs broker.
Cavalier is working with The Netherlands (Europe), North America (Miami), Caribbean, Latin America, and Asia.

THE JOB:
In concert with Caribbean management, the Branch manager leads the Bonaire branch and is end responsible for its results.
The Company delivers hassle-free import and export services to a wide range of customers.
The manager deploys and maintains efficient and effective respources in the field of Staffing, Facilities and Vehicles
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Meet financial targets ref Gross Margin and Operational result.
Meet financial targets, ref accounts receivable.
Meet financial targets (cost control)
Define and maintain (quality) standards, take care of continuous improvement.
Business development
Supervise subcontracting.
Negotiate and close contracts for new Projects.
Sales to new Customers and relationship management with existing customers
Re-evaluation of selling and purchase rates
Maintaining good relationships with (local) stakeholder and authorities (incl management -level) (airport, port, customs, handlers)
Control / Reporting
PROFILE:
Management experience in SME with at least 5 staff > 5 yrs
P&L responsibility > 2 yrs
Commercial driven
Service minded.
Logistics working experience > 10 yrs, in a Forwarding company.
In depth knowledge on Logistics systems (Forwarding)
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
In dept knowledge on Transportation rules and regulations
(incl international transport and trade conditions and terms)
In depth knowledge on Customs Laws and regulations
Preferably Diploma in Customs applications in the N/ Dutch Carib
Able to coach and train staff in these fields.
Able to maintain effective relationship with Authorities and
stakeholders
Fluent in English and Dutch, pref. Papiamentu.
IT driven.
Working at bachelor’s degree level, preferably in Logistics field
No 9-5 hrs mentality
