When you work in Freight Logistics and Operations at Kuehne+Nagel, you play a key role in optimising processes and ensuring that inventory and shipments move efficiently. But that is not all. As our National Air Logistics Operational Care Manager, you will lead multiple operational teams (over 80 FTE) and drive operational excellence across our Air Logistics organization in the Netherlands. In this role, you will collaborate with our global Kuehne+Nagel network, shape strategy implementation, and make a direct impact on customer experience and business growth.
How you create impact
Lead and develop operational teams, including Revenue Care, Customs, Warehouse, and local QSHE departments
Drive operational excellence and efficiency through process management and continuous improvement initiatives
Manage P&L and ensure strong financial performance
Maintain and strengthen relationships with external stakeholders; collaborate with cross-functional teams nationally and internationally to support commercial growth
Implement Air Logistics strategies, standards, and best practices across the organization
Promote company values and contribute to employee engagement and culture initiatives
What we would like you to bring
Proven experience and solid understanding of logistics operations and processes, ideally within Air Logistics
Leadership and people management experience, with strong decision-making skills
Excellent communication abilities and commercial acumen
Strong analytical and business management skills, including P&L knowledge
Experience with change management, escalation handling, and driving performance improvements
Familiarity with ERP or workflow systems
